Have you ever seen Visitor Q?
ABOUT THE PERFORMANCE
A voluntarily blind man goes on a date and realizes, through an eyeopening bet, that all the senses are essential to experiencing life to the fullest. This is the seemingly banal premise of Have you ever seen Visitor Q?. The performance is a long conversation between two people on a date. It’s also a concert. And it will make you cry, get horny and scared.
The piece's two main inspiration sources are:
The transgressive 2001 film Visitor Q by Takashi Miike. And film scholar Linda Williams’ 1991 article
“Film Bodies: Gender, Genre and Excess”.
Script, music, direction: Hans Appelqvist
